Privacy policy
Last updated October 13, 2026
This policy explains what Dragonfly Studios LA (“we”, “the studio”) collects when you use our website, the Members app, booking and sign-in pages, and the check-in screens at the studio, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and phone number. You sign in with a link or code we email you, a password, or Face ID / Touch ID on your device — we never see your fingerprint or face, and passwords are stored only as a secure hash.
- Your family: if you add children, their names and birth years, and anything you choose to tell us for their safety — allergies, medical notes, emergency contacts, who may pick them up.
- Waivers and agreements: what you signed, when, and your signature.
- Classes, events and visits: what you book, when you check in, waitlists, notes your coaches add about your training (skills and progress).
- Payments: what you bought and when. Card and bank details go straight to our payment processor, Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Photos and video: if you add them to an event album, or as described in the media release in our waiver.
- How you found us: if you arrive through one of our links or ads, a cookie notes which one, so we know what works.
- Technical basics: sign-in cookies that keep you signed in, and standard server logs (IP address, browser) kept for security.
How we use it
- To run your account, bookings, memberships and payments, and to keep the studio safe (waivers, check-in, child pick-up).
- To email you what you need: sign-in links, receipts, booking confirmations, waitlist news, copies of what you signed.
- To send news and offers — only if you ask for them, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
- To improve our classes and the studio, using our own records. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that run parts of this system for us, under their own privacy terms: Stripe (payments), Postmark (email), Cloudflare (website delivery and file storage), our hosting and database providers. They use it only to provide their service to us.
- An event’s producer: when an event is run with an outside producer, they see their guest list — names, tickets, whether waivers are signed and who arrived — and copies of the waivers signed for their event. Your email and phone go to them only if that event says so when you sign up.
- Your family members on a shared account see the bookings and details of the people they manage.
- When the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
Children
Accounts are for adults. A parent or guardian adds their children and signs for them. We don’t knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. Children’s safety notes are visible only to the coaches and staff who need them.
How long we keep it
Your account information for as long as you have an account and for a reasonable time after, so your history is there if you come back. Signed waivers, payment and attendance records for as long as the law and our insurance require. Ask us to delete your account and we will, except what we must keep.
Your choices and rights
You can see and change your details in the Members app. You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can stop marketing emails at any time. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act; we don’t sell or share personal information as that law defines it. We won’t treat you differently for asking.
Security
Sign-ins are by single-use codes, passwords stored as hashes, or your device’s Face ID / Touch ID; connections are encrypted; card details never reach our servers; access to studio records is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure — if something goes wrong that affects you, we’ll tell you.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date above, and tell you by email if the change matters.
